Dr. Ramniwas Manda: A Journey to a Doctorate in Social Work

I’m incredibly honoured and humbled to share that I’ve recently been conferred a Doctorate in Social Work by the International Internship University. This culmination of years of dedication, research, and passion for social justice represents a significant milestone in my personal and professional journey.  It’s a moment I’ve worked towards for a long time, and I’m still processing the immense gratitude I feel.

This journey wasn’t just about academic rigor; it was a deeply personal one.  My fascination with social work began at home as we had a long family history for dedication  towards our society and community. Having deep understanding towards problems faced by marginalized communities as part of my upbringing,  ignited a fire within me to contribute to positive change.  This doctorate isn’t just a piece of paper; it’s a testament to that burning desire to make a difference.

The program at the International Internship University provided me with an invaluable platform to delve deeper into the complexities of social issues. The curriculum challenged me to think critically, analyse existing systems, and explore innovative solutions.  I’m particularly grateful for expanding horizon and broadened world view I have now.  This experience broadened my understanding of community development, mental health, child welfare and equipped me with the tools necessary to contribute meaningfully to the field.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of so many people.  I’m deeply grateful to my family, friends, mentors, and professors who encouraged me every step of the way.  Their belief in me fueled my determination and helped me overcome the inevitable challenges that come with pursuing a doctorate.

So, what’s next?  This doctorate isn’t an end point; it’s a beginning. I’m eager to apply my knowledge and skills to work with the marginalized  population, teach, conduct further research, advocate for policy changes.  I’m committed to continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to the field of social work.  I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and I’m dedicated to working towards a more just and equitable society.

This journey has been transformative, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.  I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to making a meaningful contribution to the world.
